Had to be at Rutgers early in the morning. Close proximity and good night's sleep made this ideal.
Good overall stay as always at this location. Go twice a year and no major problems to date. Great bar and catering staff.
Overall it was very relaxing with great food and friendly staff.
Great value but did not have a fridge or microwave which would have more convienent since I was there for a conference and had a hospitality room
Comfy beds and convience to Ukrainian center. Surrounded by other restaurants that are close by. Will stay again
Do not know how to run a front desk, or to return a phone call regarding a big problem
Only stayed for one night but the hotel was nice and the restaurant was very good. But the Breakfast was way too expensive.
This was the best overnight stay for my mom's night out with no kids no man. Prime rib dinner was amazing and room was extremely comfortable.
Our overnight stay was nice and I loved having the restaurant located inside as well as a very nice buffet in the morning.
I would like to have a refrigerator in room . A larger television screen
This hotel was a block away from where I needed to be, appreciated the convenience of this! The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. My room was clean and was sufficient for my needs!
I stayed at this Holiday Inn a year ago when I was in town for the same business purpose. My company would have covered the cost of a more expensive hotel in the area... however, I had such a positive experience last year, I chose to stay here again. The rooms are clean and the food is very good. What stands out the most is the staff. From the moment you walk in the door, they are so welcoming and accomodating. You can tell that they actually care about you and whether you are enjoying your stay at the hotel. I travel a lot for work and I stay in hotels more luxurious than Holiday Inn, but there is something about this hotel that makes me want to stay here every year. I highly recommend.
When we arrived at the hotel I Was not greeted as a Spire Elite member. I had to tell the young lady at the desk. I also had to ask for my welcome bag or points. I was given a room on the first floor, however my profile preference is high floor away from the elevator. When I told her that she went into the computer and found a room on the 6th floor. I have been an IHG member since 1983 and this was the worst greeting I have ever had in any IHG property!!
Comfortable but dated room, which only had sheers on the outside window. There was no privacy
Enjoyed my stay. Location convenient and room was clean
I spent five days in this hotel.. right now I'm on my last day sitting in bed. The room is comfortable and clean. I just want to say the staff at this hotel is great and should be noticed. My story is I checked in late on a Monday, I bring my own food on buisness trips and got to my room where I noticed there was no refridgerator. I went to the lobby and asked if they had a room witha fridge. Unfortunetly they said they did not. By the time I made it back to my room they where calling to let me know they were bringing a fridge to my room in a few minutes. They went out of there way to ensure my comfort. So a big THANK YOU to the staff at this hotel they are doing it right!!
Average. Nothing special. Bar/Restaurant could be better. Not really near much if you decide to eat elsewhere. Room could use updating but they aren't awful.
Excellent third stay at this hotel. Would choose it again for next year show
Nice and clean hotel. The room temperature was perfect for a snowy day and you can feel comfortable and safe within the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for your business purpouse
Best sleep ever. The room was spacious and clean. Enjoyed every minute!
Good hotel excellent service overall grounds and rooms are very clean.
I was told breakfast was included in the group rate but hotel was reluctant to honor commitment
My room bill was $100 over the email and other people
Used my points for two night stay. Good value overall. Well kept hotel.
Clean room, bright lounge, good coffee and a nice Irish style bar
Good spot to stay With a nice restaurant and bar you inside the building Nice rooms
I enjoyed my over all stay. The room furnishings were nice and the room was clean. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I have is that there wasn't a refrigerator in my room.
Hotel was great. Smoking area outside the hotel was in the middle of everything. Very disgusting Fitness area was outdated and had poor equipment.
Customer service is excellent as well as the rooms. Beds are super comfy and the rooms have complimentary wifi! Loved staying here.
good food. I enjoyed my short stay although there could have been more cable channels...some with movies.
The room was nice and clean. The bed was a king size, with good sized pillows.
Really great experience. Friendly staff. Fast check-in. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable stay.
Room looked to be old from the wallpaper, but the bathroom was updated. Bed was great! Room temperature wad perfect and the fan was on all night which made sleep even better. The only cons was no refrigerator in the room but hotel crew said they could bring one up to the room if needed and the elevators were in need of service. Lights were out, squeaked and made weird noises when moving, and the doors opened while still moving to the floor. The were opening with 4 inches left to go. I took the stairs.
A last minute business meeting found me staying in the area. The hotel was very well appointed and I would stay again.
Loved having the entire floor to ourselves, was very nice and quiet, felt very safe there. The size of the hotel is very large and accommodating. Loved the decor and cleanliness. Security checks on all the floors and empty rooms.
I stay at this hotel almost every week of the year while on business. Great value for the area with great staff.
Very professional and friendly Staff. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Room service was excellent. Ordered breakfast and it arrived to the room still hot. PJ Cavs restaurant staff were great. Recommend visiting
Convenience and clean. IT is what I expected from a Holiday Inn
Very clean room .Friendly staff especially at the frontdesk. Will recommend this hotel to stay more .
Staff was responsive and clean bed. The bathrooms were clean and staff greeted and acknowledged my IHG membership.
Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Somerset-Bridgewater for a business trip that got extended for another week. Check-in was an issue, not any fault of the airport, but the booking department at my company. Once it was sorted out, and I got to my room I knew all was well in the universe, or so I thought. On my first night there, the fire alarm sounded at 2 am. Headed downstairs in that cold weather, fire department arrived and determined that it was a false alarm, malfunctioning sensor on one of the floors. That was my first issue. After that, love it. Heater made a little noise, but nothing to lose sleep over or to even make an issue out of. The breakfast was great. Got pancakes some days others french toast, fresh fruit and coffee. Lots of coffee. Unfortunately, I was out late so generally at fast food. However I did grab a something small from the Jersey's Sports bar, and it was great as well. My stay was great overall. Highly recommended.
I have stayed at this hotel twice and both times have been sub-par. The 'fitness room' is a joke, it is very cramped and does not have many options for working out. My room does not feel clean- the sheets had hairs on them and the carpet always looks dingy. The worst thing was that my heater made an incredibly loud noise every time it kicked on and was so loud that it woke me up several times throughout the night. This hotel is also loud overall- you can hear everything inside your room from the next-door neighbors to the people walking by outside.
The breakfast was enjoyable and the staff very friendly. Room was clean with little noise
Heating system was very noisy. Bed was very comfortable.
We had a very enjoyable stay here in November 2016. The room was nice and comfortable, and the staff kindly extended the hotel's "pet friendly" welcome to Newf Ruby. We found walking areas close by and felt the staff was very welcoming, the room was quite comfortable, and the location was great for what we wanted to do. It was our first visit to Roanoke, and the warm welcome made us determined to come back again soon, so we could get to know the area better.
The hotel manager was very friendly and attentive to my needs. He recommended local restaurants. He was able to correct a problem that I had in a very professional and expedient manner.
This is an older property, but I've stayed here many times over the past six years. Good choice for Somerset, but not so much for Bridgewater due to traffic, which can back-up quickly. Take the back roads and avoid I-287.
The hotel lobby and staff gave an presentation that the room (108) did not live up to. The bathroom sink was resurfaced and was cracking. The faucet had lost most its chrome finish and felt dirty and sticky. The tub was clean but reminded me of one of those fit over units and appeared cheap. The room seemed clean, but giving the condition of the bathroom and some of the outside amenities, I couldn't trust that things were being done right.
Average hotel room that could use a lot of updating. No mini fridge in room. Needs new wall paper and carpeting.
great place and good food will stay there again.//////////////////////////////
