walls are paper thin and can hear everything around you. this hotel would be so much nicer if it were not under construction. staff at front desk are very nice but the maitanance and housekeepers just look at you and dont say a word. it was fine for it being a hotel in a big city and it was what i expected except for the construction part. the front desk is in what looks like to be the breakfast bar kitchen and it just gives a bad vibe because of the construction. front desk lady was trying to be helpful but told us that our destination was a mile and a half up the road, so we decided to walk, it ended up being three miles later that we found it.
Saw the good rating "4/5" on this hotel when having to come to town for conference. If I had came to this hotel for the my first experience at IHG, I would never become a IHG member. Booked a king room for 3 nights. Got a standard room for 3 nights. Paid that highest price for a room in my 6 years of being with IHG and then had to pay $16 for breakfast. That would have been ok if it was better than the normal free breakfasts. The room I had heat was on when I walked in and it was 85 Deg, I turned on the A/C and it cooled the room to 80 Deg. Told the front desk but they didn't really seem to care. I also told them about the toilet was clogged which nothing was not looked into. I have more business to do in Denver but will think twice about going to this IHG location.
The hotel was very dirty overall. They are going through some new construction and it really put a damper on our meeting group. The smell of bleach was very strong. The beverage, ie. wine selections was very poor. They were not kept cold, put in a tub of ice.. not acceptable for white wine.
I stay in this hotel every few months for work, and this was by far the worst experience I've had here. The hotel is currently under renovation, and there's only one elevator serving the main building, including the parking garage. I travel enough that renovations don't bother me, generally speaking, but the elevator situation was a complete mess and actually caused some delays. The staff here is usually really great, but they were a bit off for this trip. I have to think that the renovations have caused a major disruption in the back-of-house workings, and things were just not on point this time. This hotel is in a great location, and the price point is very fair, but I would recommend having very low expectations as long as they are renovating. Maybe worth calling before you book. Also worth noting: I checked in on Tuesday evening, after Daylight Savings Time, and the clock in my room hadn't been changed.
Makes for a great remote working location due to the great internet speed and reliability.
Staff very friendly. The hotel shuttle does NOT run on the weekend. Close to Cherry Creek mall- great shopping and lots of restaurants. Staff gave lots of advice as to where to eat-what to do in the area. Hotel not that impressive from the outside, however they are undergoing rennovations so difficult to get the final picture. Upgraded to two room suite with two bathrooms. Very nice for our friends to hang out in our room and play cards in the living room area. Room was next to the elevator, however there was NO noise!
It would be a lot quicker to post what was good about stay. The food was great and bed comfortable but getting to the two was a whole other story! EVERYTHING else about this hotel property was lousy if I could give a neg 0 I would.
Overall, great stay. The only problem is the hotel is currently under construction so the front office/doorway is a mess. They were fixing the water pipes so we didn't have any hot water until the next morning. The breakfast was really excellent though. Room was quiet and up to date. Bathroom was clean, however, the shower and tub itself was slightly outdated and had old mildew around the caulking (not house-keeping's fault). Would have liked to see that renovated. Great location and staff was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.
This place was probably for the money paid, the worst place I have ever been. The pool was closed and their webpage didn't tell me that until I was already paying for it, so my kid was very disappointed. And of course, still full price. This place is a maze. We tried to park in the parking garage area, but elevator took us no where and key cards didn't even work in those elevators. After we found some guys to let us out of the elevators, we walked about a block back to the front just to get back into the hotel. And why on earth does anyone need a room card just to use the elevators? Dumbest thing I have ever seen in a hotel. And the elevators were the slowest I have ever seen in my life. At least 2 times we waited at least, at least 5 minutes for it to come to our floor. There couldn't have been more than 20 people in the whole hotel. My 6 year old was so disappointed, she even told a worker in the elevator and a guest on our way out that we would never stay here again. The guest just laughed forever that she said it in front of a worker. And if you don't want to take the elevator, the stairs are just as crazy. Only one side even went to the lobby floor. I don't even know where the other stairs went, some basement or something. I quickly turned around and went back up. This has got to the worst hotel in Denver.
I'm not going to repeat what I already wrote in the earlier part of the survey.
When I visited, the entire lobby and restaurant/bar area were under renovation. As a result, one of the elevators for the east tower was closed. This directly impacted the length of time it took to get upstairs/downstairs, as hotel staff with housekeeping carts and room service also had to use the same elevator. As I had a room right outside the elevator, I was worried about the noise, but it wasn't loud at all. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and let me get my work done. The staff was courteous and attended to my needs.
Overall material condition of this hotel is unsatisfactory. Understand that construction is underway but upon check-in to room: 1. Heater cover was loose - loud rattle all night. Fixed during the second day. 2. Bathroom vent fan was hanging loose from the ceiling. 3. Nightstand drawer was broken/unusable. 4. Carpet was filthy - dirty and stained. Upon returning to my room on the second day after a day at work found the bathtub and sink backed up with a disgusting black liquid. My room was switched. Had breakfast in the hotel - saw a cockroach crawl across the fruit bar. Breakfast was comp'd but that hardly made up for the negative experience. Staff was friendly and tried to make up for the many material shortcomings at the hotel. Hopefully after the lobby construction is complete Holiday Inn will commit to updating the rooms. Would not stay here again.
Our group was in town for an optical conference. Even though the hotel was under renovation, it was a great stay. Arthur in the restaurant was awesome, and the staff handling our meeting space were great. Thanks for taking care of us!
Great location in Cherry Creek for a business visit. Close to Target and several dining options that allowed me to walk, and shuttle provided service if I didn't feel like walking. Lobby and common space was under remodel, which was a challenge as it resulted in one elevator in the tower I was staying in and cause delays in the morning. Also made things feel dingy at times, but really was very clean and tidy.
Comfortable room and reasonable rate. However, no service at Bar and Grill. It was open, but literally no staff around. Walked in 3 times between 6-9pm on 17 Oct to get some food and cash in my free drink voucher. Should have taken the points or just walked off with a beer, but ended up going to Applebee's instead. You may want to skip this one until all of their construction is complete and staffing issues resolved.
If I had to stay due to a convention, I'd suffer through. But, I won't stay there again even though our son lives a block away and we've been there 10 times this year. In fact, this experience damaged the Holiday Inn brand in my mind. I don't need the Club care or the old Priority Club membership.
We found that the hotel has kept up or improved in most respects relative to our previous stay, back in 2010. The breakfast buffet sets you up for the day! The bar is a nice place to relax. The evening grill we can't be as positive about - absent the morning sun, it seems rather dingy in the evening, and though the food was very good, the drinks prices are overly inflated, and the service that evening was strangely detached. Overall, however, the hotel is a very good location for both work and play in the Denver area, and quite close to the downtown core.
Great location, good bar and bar food, excellent breakfast
Great stay at this hotel. Staff were genuinely friendly, room was clean, bed and pillows were super comfy. Towels were in good shape and comfortable as well.
The kind women who did housekeeping were friendly and helpful, and I found them much more accommodating than the front desk.
The staff is always friendly and quick to remember me. They make sure I'm not waiting on my room and ask if I need help to my room with my bags. The ease of checking in is painless! Everything is clean and in it's proper place. I have never seen any thing that was dirty or needed any attention. I always try to stay at this hotel when possible.
Outstanding service and our overall experience was wonderful! Room was clean and the overall property was clean! The staff was friendly which made us able to relax even more! The bar and bartender are one of the best things about the hotel! Enjoyed the pool too! When back in the Denver area we will stay at the hotel again! Great location... The under ground parking is a plus! Thanks again to everyone at the hotel.
Don't bother with the Dwntwn pricey alternatives when you can enjoy the same comfort and much better staff service an attention at the Holiday Inn Cherry Creek only a HOP from Cherrry Creek shops and walk, and a SKIP, and a JUMP to downtown Denver. Comfort and convenience without the hassles of the now stoner-derelict- cluttered 16th Street Mall. And don't be in a hurry or you'll miss a really enjoyable happy hour in the lounge!
Our recent stay at this hotel was very comfortable - clean, neat room. The only drawback we experienced was loud slamming of doors during the early morning hours of our first day. After that, it was mostly quiet. Our room was a typical Holiday Inn room and we always stay at this hotel when we are in Denver. The breakfast buffet was good, but seemed like it could have been managed a little better. Nonetheless, we would choose to eat breakfast here on our next stay. The hotel is within walking distance of a Target, a beautiful little park and the Cherry Creek mall. All in all, we really do enjoy our stays here.
We had a great stay even though it was for the VA hospital. The location of this property is why I chose it. So easy to get in and out of. The staff as always were great. Comfy beds and a great outdoor patio to sit and visit!
I was in Denver for business. I've stayed through out the city over the years. The hotel is in a great location for getting to other parts of the city (if you don't mind driving the local commute), and a great location to restaurants, and stores such as Whole Foods, Target, and Dazbug coffee. There is more parking than meets the eye. I parked in the above ground garage, which worked well. I think there's also below ground parking too. I would stay here again.
Near the bicycle trail. Indoor parking. Overall it is a good value hotel. However, the street facing room is rather noisy because of the traffic. Traffic do start early.
The Holiday Inn was comfortable, a little bit noisy (no fault of the hotel itself) and provided adequate sleeping quarters for my husband
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and located close to many eating and shopping establishments
The staff were friendly and very helpful. They go out of their way to provide us directions to several places.
Room was very comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was my reservations through a travel agent showed free breakfast buffet. It was not free and cost me $12.50. Not worth that. I asked about it at the counter and the employee apologized and gave me a coupon for a free breakfast the next day. Very kind.
It was the staff at Holiday Inn Cherry Creek that made my overall experience excellent. Most especially, the Rooms Manager, a gentleman who is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure guests are well taken care of. His gracious
They were excellent in accommodating my entire group and even allowed us to pay for our room per person staying in the room instead of one transaction.
We stay at holiday inns all over the place and they never disappoint. The beds are always comfortable. Thanks Holiday Inn
mauvaise très bruyant, pas de services, petit déjeuner : pas de place et mauvais.
over all I had a wonderful experience. I would be happy if the price would be less than what I paid other than it was great stay.
This is a fair hotel for the money. I stayed for 3 nights and really the only complaints I have are with the food and the shuttle service.
the room was recently redecorated and was very comfortable. Bath and room were well cleaned and lit. The location is very good, close to Cherry Creek, just a quick trip downtown and near some beautiful residential areas. The lobby, elevators and restaurants have not yet been upgraded but the rooms are lovely.
This was a great place to stay. We only stayed the one night, but it was soooo comfortable!
We loved everything about our stay except for the fact that we needed accommodations for both Thursday and Friday night. I think it's very tacky and inconsiderate to charge more for the second night. I wish we had checked out and found another place to stay for our second night.
Great location, had a great stay in Denver.I will be back in the future. keep up the good hospitality.
I stayed here for a college reunion and a wedding. I don't have any complaints! It was a good experience.
not so good did not like the key cards for the eve
I stayed at this hotel while in Denver for to attend 2 days of business meetings and was very pleasantly surprised at how well appointed it was. The company that I visited was truly up the block which made commuting for the meetings very convenient. The room was very nice and I was impressed with the sitting area. I did have a small snafu upon arrival at the airport - the information that I'd been given about getting a shuttle was incomplete. The lady that I spoke to when I called the Holiday Inn did give me the name of the shuttle company, but failed to tell me that I had to call or go online to make a reservation for the shuttle prior to my arrival. I ended up paying a ridiculous amount for a cab from the airport to the hotel. When I explained my frustrations to the gentleman at the front desk upon check-in, I was provided with complimentary meal and bar coupons. That definitely smoothed things over a great deal. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to all of my peers.
Everything met my expectations and was very pleasant.
Easy to be there, great staff, great room, good value. We will stay there again.
From broken elevators that several guests including ourselves needing to take 9 flights of stairs; to dirty dishes left right outside our door by previous guests, still there when we checked in...still there next morning as well, this was by far our worst hotel experience ever. Very loud guests partying in halls till well after 3:00 am. We called front desk who did absolutely nothing. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Our Holiday Inn days are done. We will not pay so much for such a place again. And no continental breakfast to boot!
I stayed at your hotel recently with my wife and 2 children. The staff was very friendly and helpful we could not have been more pleased with our stay. Our kids loved the pool, we also really enjoyed breakfast.
worst experience in a very long time. will not use this hotel in the future
The hotel met all of my expectations, and I plan to stay there in the near future. I do not think you can find a better value for the money.
