Everything was perfect except for the doors slamming in the executive wing starting at 6am and continuing non stop until checkout
I know what I am getting and what to expect from my previous experiences with the Holiday inn brand, Comfortable, clean, great service and most of all great value for money.
The hotel is okay. Went to take advantage of swimming pool and game room with my kids. The pool was gross and the game room was not what was pictured online. The air conditioner in the 2 rooms was really loud. I'm upset that I paid so much when I have been to nicer holidays inn for less money and had a way better experience! It was very disappointing.
Hotel is close to U of M and has easy highway access. Some restaurants and fast food closeby. Rooms are only double beds, not queens. Bath is small. HVAC is loud. Breakfast starts late - 6.30, and no coffee before -- so plan to drive a mile to Starbucks for your morning coffee. Was with family and the whole experience was crowded. Breakfast buffet was ok, but not as warm as it should be. For the total price, better value and comfort can be found nearby.
No place to put toiletries. Shower curtain leaked. Tile sealant not good.
The title says it all. Really no problems with the stay. If you plan to sleep during pool hours make sure to get a room away from the pool. We didn't have a problem with the pool noice - it was cool to be in a room of the courtyard. The restaurant staff was excellent during breakfast but dinner crew was understaffed and therefore very slow. Also two beers with two shots poured in each beer at $21 is way overpriced. Overall great experience.
The bed and pillows so comfortable and even tho we only were at the hotel a short time it was very peaceful! Beats the noise of the hospital!!!
Nice hotel close to the University, with nice rooms and easy check in. The staff is very nice and helpfull
Service in the dining room at breakfast was not very good some mornings. It depended on who was working.
Great place to stay! Clean and comfortable! Have stayed there a few times now. Close and convenient to U of M hospital.
Everyone was very nice. Great people work in the restaurant and bar. The front desk people are great.
We arrived late on Friday night, too tired, arrived and front desk greeted us with a smile and provided room right away. We saw a familiar face at the front desk, Clifton recognized us and proceed with his usual smile and friendly conversation. Nice way to start check in.
As stated in an earlier comment on this survey. Review that for posting.
The only thing I would suggest for the room is an additional comfortable chair. My husband got the comfy one and I had to use the desk chair (my choice). Even a small comfy chair. The lady at the desk was exceptionally helpful in getting us a handicapped room for our unexpected second day stay. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent, and my lunch was really enjoyable. We used the shuttle services 4 times, which was a real blessing. We plan to stay here again, for our next visit to UofM Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Staff and hotel is very nice. Had a banquet, food was delicious, and again, service was very good. My room was updated and very comfortable. Multiple pillow options, TV was good, very clean. My only complaint was the "green" initiative in the heating/cooling system for the room. The AC is motion activated, so it would turn off while I was sleeping. The room would get very warm, so I didn't sleep as well. I appreciate the effort to use less energy, just wasn't as comfortable.
Was here for a medical procedure at U of M Hospital. I stayed one night here and one night in hospital for recovery. My wife and niece who was my driver stayed two nights at the hotel. Check-in was great Lori made us all feel at home and gave us helpful suggestions to make our stay comfortable. Our room was clean, everything worked, and the furniture was in great shape. Appreciated the free shuttle and taxi service to the hospital. My wife and niece both appreciated their stay.
Was there for a wedding. Bed was comfortable but the bathroom seemed to fall short of their upgrade.
Excellent hotels and stay. But dinner poor to adequate.
lovely rooms, comfy beds and pillows, a great location away from the hoopla of art fair, and that fun coney island in walking distance for a very fun breakfast experience
Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not up to par. The eggs were tasteless and possibly fake or industrial powder form.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious breakfast
Shuttle forgot to pick our conference group up! Toliet screeched like a ghost from Harry Potter all night. Wifi unstable.
Hotel was very clean , love the patio doors Love that their pet friendly Very clean and comfortable accommodations Nice pool in and out Front desk staff was very professional Restaurant on site has great food !
When they say near campus, they mean it. Not more than 10 minutes from the northside of campus. Walking into the hotel took me away from traffic, noise, and the bustle of Ann Arbor. Truly an excellent location to rest and relax during a long day at the UofM.
Recommend staying here but it is a little dated. The bar area is nice with good service and it has a nice pool area for you to enjoy
This hotel was old and dirty. It had a nice business centre
I just prefer a continental breakfast option. The beds are my favorite, we were upgraded to a king size for no additional cost when our room wasn't ready for an early check in. Over all amazing experience.
I had the best night of sleep on the most comfortable AND very clean bed. The freshness of the room combined with the size and comfort of the new mattress was truly a 5 star experience. The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel like I was in a familiar place. Typically, I seek out luxury hotels, but I will pick Holiday Inn on my next adventure.
Responses above should be sufficient. Stay was short, but satisfying.
Front desk staff not friendly, attentive or responsive
The room had a Keurig coffee pot with 3 pods. I guess I could have asked for more but we went to the lobby expecting coffee there. We were made to get a voucher from the check-in desk and then take it to the connecting restaurant. It seemed like they though they were doing us a favor giving us this voucher for one cup of coffee each. The coffee was in a large serving vat and it was terrible. Seemed like it had been made hours ago. (Note- I am not a coffee snob, we use Dunkin' donuts at home and do not grind our own) The restaurant buffet looked tired and unappetizing but we found that if you exit by the front door of the hotel, turn left and walk about 200 steps you will find a pleasant little coney island with fresh coffee and made to order breakfasts. Bed was fine.
Every employee I met in the hallways greeted me with a smile. The hotel itself is clean and bright. The room was clean and pretty spacious for my family. Bathroom was a little on the small side, but we made it work. We were given free breakfast vouchers for our stay. Both mornings we went there, they were busy and looked short staffed. They ran out of 2 of the 4 main items on the "breakfast bar." On our second morning, we waited for 10 minutes to have our drink order taken and had to get our own silverware. The food was... okay. The rest of our stay we went next door to Mark's Midtown Coney Island. Yummy!
Always a pleasure to relax and unwind at this hotel, particularly after driving 550 miles. The food is great and not overly expensive and the service is always first class.
I liked the Hotel for its bright and clean atmosphere. The grounds were fairly nice and landscaped well, and the indoor/outdoor pool appeared inviting. The server, and apparently the kitchen staff were totally understaffed and unprepared for our dinner party of around 20 guests. There were no other customers in our area, so we were disappointed about the 2 hours that it took to order, eat our dinner, and check out. The waitress was nice, but totally understaffed.
Upon asking the asking the Hotel desk clerk about options for dinner in the area , she told me that there was dinner available at the hotel restaurant or across the street at Big Boy's (Similar to Denny's). I asked is there anything else and her reply was no . later I found out that One and half miles away was the most fantastic array of very good restaurants in the downtown area. Educate your people if you want to promote and generate tourism income for your city.
Not the best experience, the common areas were really not well maintained
The food was horrible but the staff was very good I attended a wedding and the food was cold and poor in quality I felt very sad for the parents of the bride who spent lots of money on there daughters special day
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large, well appointed room; comfortable king size bed. Good value. Enjoyable breakfast.
Had a good stay. Very relaxing, hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I ordered two mojitos that were not made correctly. When I asked for the drink 4 or 5 members of the staff huddled together to make my order , overall it was a good effort but a bad drink. Even though I had a bad drink , it was overall a good stay.
Overall a decent place to stay, but when the outside temp is 90 degrees, functioning AC is a must. Even after replaced by a very courteous maintenance worker, it was just tolerable.
Service is great. I stayed for 2 weeks because my mother was receiving care at the U of M hospital, which was very stressful. The Holiday Inn decreased my stress because it is a wonderful place to stay with all of the amenities that I needed.
健身房可以再大一点 然后水杯用塑料的不要用纸的。 器械有点脏。 早上早饭炒蛋可以不要放cheese 吗 我乳糖不耐可是又想吃炒蛋。。。
Perfect for our short stay. They tried to accommodate us as best as possible. Great food at the restaurant - consistent with our stay last year.
The original design of the structure didn't give the bathroom sink area much counter top space for personal effect items. It would be nice to have a night light in the bathroom Otherwise, it was nice and clean and up to date. Other rooms I stayed in had older noisy room heater/conditioners. This one was new and quiet and did a good job. Fitness center had good eqpt. The heart rate function did not work on the bicycle, however. .
We are greeted by staff as though we are their friend or family when we return. The bed is comfortable, the food quite tasty and the location is close to the U of M Hospital. My husband has been a patient there off and on the last two years. This hotel meets our needs and gets us through his illness.
Good location and good hotel but expensive. We came in late night and took off early in the morning. Therefore, we did not pay much attention on hotel appearance or internet speed etc.
This hotel is located near the university of Michigan and it about a 10-12 minute drive from downtown! I only had one issue with my room being wrong, but other than that the staff took care of me and the beds were very comfortable.
Nice hotel restaurant closed early no food after 11pm
Pleasant and clean facility. Location was easy to find and access. Internet was a bit cumbersome. Poor phone reception in my room. In general a very nice place to stay.
